Mission Maglev

6-Week STEM Programme at Sowing Seeds Wellbeing CIC

Starting After Half Term

At Sowing Seeds Wellbeing CIC, our hands-on STEM sessions encourage students to build, experiment, solve problems and develop their own ideas. Set within our supportive, wellbeing-focused environment, sessions are designed to be engaging and accessible, helping students feel capable, included and proud of what they achieve.

Exploring Magnets, Static Electricity and Electromagnets

Mission Maglev is a six-week project exploring magnets, static electricity and electromagnets through practical challenges. Each week builds on the last, so students develop their understanding step by step and gain confidence as they go. The project finishes with a magnetic levitation engineering challenge, where students put everything they’ve learnt into practice.

Learn by Doing

The sessions are adapted around the students taking part, with an emphasis on confidence, creativity and learning through doing. Students can work at their own level, while also being encouraged to try new ideas, test what works and stretch themselves.

Sessions take place in our Flow Room, an open studio space with plenty of room to experiment and work together. Places are limited, so booking is essential.
