New Group at Sowing Seeds Tuition at our Thackley site!
At Sowing Seeds Tuition, in the final half term we are introducing our new dyslexia-specialist small-group tuition programme for Year 7–8 learners! This programme is designed to provide practical strategies that make a difference both now and as students grow in confidence and independence.
We recognise that many young people come to us with undiagnosed dyslexia or literacy difficulties, often feeling frustrated, anxious or unsure of their own abilities. Our aim is to create a safe, encouraging environment where learners feel understood, supported and able to thrive.
Academically, the programme focuses on structured literacy approaches including decoding, spelling, sentence writing, phonics and morphology, alongside study skills that genuinely support day-to-day learning. We help learners develop strategies for planning, memory, proofreading and organisation so that independent work becomes more accessible, notes are clearer, reading aloud feels safer, and progress becomes visible both at home and in school.
Beyond academics, the group is centred around building self-esteem, resilience and self-advocacy. Learners begin to understand how they learn best, develop confidence in communicating their needs, and grow the independence needed to navigate secondary school and future pathways with greater success.
