The Flow Room.

Studio Space

Our Flow Room is a larger, more open space designed for movement, creativity, and dynamic sensory experiences. This room encourages body awareness, confidence, and self-expression through tangible and interactive activities.

This room is well suited for visitors who enjoy:

  • Movement, balance, and vestibular input
  • Open space to explore safely
  • Hands-on, creative sensory experiences

What this space offers:

  • A supportive chair swing for calming or regulating movement
  • Open floor space for dynamic sensory exploration
  • Tangible sensory resources that invite creativity and play
  • Opportunities for expressive and imaginative engagement

The Flow Room can also be enhanced using our individual sensory menu, allowing equipment and activities to be tailored to each person’s sensory needs.

Our sensory experience continues outdoors, with open access to our sensory shelter and garden. These spaces offer rich, natural sensory input and opportunities to connect with the environment in a relaxed, supportive way.

Outdoor experiences may include:

  • Engaging with plants, textures, sounds, and scents
  • Gentle horticulture activities that support wellbeing and confidence
  • Seasonal sensory changes
  • Calm outdoor spaces for rest or exploration

When appropriate and available, we also offer animal-assisted experiences, providing gentle opportunities for connection, comfort, and joy.
